Dr. Campbell is interested in the problems of toxins produced by Cyanobacteria (Harmful Algal Blooms) and harmful residues from pesticides and insecticide in Lake Erie waters. He has presented these concerns with emphasis underlying basic science to professional groups, educational meetings, local governmental officials, civic groups, and environmental seminars.
Dr. Campbell grew up in NW Ohio and has enjoyed swimming, sailing and rowing in his homemade scull in Lake Erie and the Maumee Estuary. He is currently a co-chair of the Wood County Parks Levy, Board Member of Lake Erie Waterkeeper, and member of The Torch Club, Symposium, The Toledo Museum of Art and the Toledo Zoo.
